The Spice Market.


This is one small spice market inside of Sana'a. There are so many spices that I don't know what to do with them.

Queen Arwa Mosque


Queen Arwa was the Queen of Yemen for 50 years 1067-1138. This is the Mosque in Jiblah that she ruled from and where she lived. This mosque is a One Thousand years old and it still stands.

Simple Mosque


Most Mosques in Yemen are very Simple, unlike Abul Saleh Mosque. This is one of the Thousands of Mosques spread out over Sana'a

Ali Abdul Saleh Mosque


This is the "Ali Abdul Saleh Mosque" it is the biggest mosque in Yemen and it is named after the President Ali Abdul Saleh

The country side of Yemen.


These villages in Yemen are Built on top of these cliffs and are hundreds of years old. They built them on top of these cliffs for protection from other tribes and animals.

Sana'a


The city of Sana'a is a city that is steeped in biblical history. This is the old city at night. Some of these building have been there since the time of Jesus.

I just dropped into Yemen to study Arabic and it has been a culture shock. Just look at the Women.
I think the little girl following her mother is so great.
