Fashion Show

This is one of my favorite photos! This shot was taken just after a fashion show of traditional Yemeni dress. I was so surprised at this image.

A random street inside the old city.

Walking through the old city in Sana'a

Camel Grinding

This camel is doing the everyday walk around the room grinding up seeds to make cooking oil, or grinding wheat to make flour. Notice the goggles

This is just a happy man on a average day in Yemen. He could be going anywhere.

The men here are dancing with the Janbiyya, which is the Traditional knife worn by the Men of Yemen, also the drums are played in the background to keep the rhythm.

Family outing.

This is a shot of a Yemeni Family out enjoying the Weekend.

Everday life.

I don't know what it is about this photo, but I like it, Maybe it is just the moment.

ManaKha

This village is one of thousands scattered throughout the country side in Yemen. This are is called Manakha.

Country shot.

This is a shot outside of Sana'a into the country. This is the Village where Imam Yaya lived before his Demise.
This is a different view from my flat after the rain.

Window

There are so many different colors and styles of windows in Yemen. I like the Way the sun was shining through as these two Yemeni men are talking.

Thula

This Ancient Village is called Thula. It is a UNESCO world heritage site. I took this shot when most of the villagers were inside their houses, observing the Muslim holy day. There was something magical about wondering around in a quiet little village.

Al-Qaidah

This is actually a town in Yemen. I had to stop for the Photo Op. Now I just need to collect my Reward from the Government for Finding Al Qaeda.

Janbiya Makers.

As you stroll through the dark alleys in the streets of old Sana'a and gaze into the little shops you never know what you will find. I found these men making the traditional Yemeni Janbiyya Knife.

A random street inside the old city.

Once you get inside the old city this is what the streets look like.

Mountain Camels.

These camels are mountain camels on there way to Taiz.

A random place in Sana'a

I don't remember where I took this photo but I think it is in the old city in Sana'a. This what an everyday day in Sana'a is like. Also if you notice the little girls hand on the right with Henna just sticking out of nowhere. Also, the Minaret in the background is just one of hundreds you see around the city.

The view from my apartment at night.

This is what Sana'a looks like from the roof of my apartment.

Some Yemeni friends.

These are some friends I made in Yemen.

What the park looks like in Yemen.

If you go to the largest garden in Sana'a, this what it looks like. The culture is completely different.
If you notice all of the women are wearing the black balto and the burqa that covers the whole face.

Circus in Yemen.

I found the circus one day. I like this Fire Eater photo,

Horse in the garden.

Yemen is like a movie. Everyday is a surprise. This man was riding a horse around in the garden next to the Mosque. If you look out into the distance you can see the Mosque.

Ali Abdul Saleh Mosque

This is Ali Abdul Saleh Mosque again, but this time it is from the garden next to the mosque. The mosque looks like awesome after the rain.

Old city in Sana'a

This is another evening shot of the old city in Sana'a. I find at night is my favorite time to take photos in the old city.
